Career Technical Education (CTE)
               With the end of the school year approaching, the CTE grants have been amended to spend funds based
               on departmental needs.
               Working with our local industry partners, the district has developed a MFG committee that includes
               teachers, administrators, and local industry representatives to determine a sustainable career
               development platform complete with a product that satisfies local industry’s needs.
               We are pursuing the enhancement of our construction and health career pathways. To accomplish this,
               we are having discussions with Keller Construction and CAAN Academy for LPN
               We have a site visit scheduled for a team to visit the Chicago Area Carpenter’s Apprentice school in
               Elk Grove Village. We are looking to partner and provide our students a carpentry option during high
               school that will lead directly to this school.


               Director of Student Support Services

               Various meetings were facilitated with various departments under the umbrella of Student Support
               Services throughout the month.

               Worked with Advocate Aurora Health to identify additional dates for the Ronald McDonald Care

               Mobile to come out and service I coming 9  grade students as well as current students.
               Worked to rekindle the partnership with Smile Illinois to bring dental services to our families in the
               district for free or with insurance.

               Participated in instructional walkthroughs with the Instructional Leadership Team.

               Worked with several contractual agencies to interview and hire nurses for The COVID isolation room
               as well as 1:1 nursing services.

               Worked with the legal team on several potential legal issues and/or pitfalls that should be prevented.

               Created a plan to ensure mandated requirements for vision/ hearing screenings and dental exams are
               completed prior to the end of the year.   Vision and hearing screenings began in March for
               students participating in hybrid instruction. All students participating in remote instruction has
               received information for their scheduled day in April. Phone campaigns and collection efforts began in
               March and will continue through April.



               Student Support Services

               Served as laboratory director for COVID-19 testing monitoring student in isolation and

               In collaboration with campus administration, delivered a parent meeting with the following topics:
                  -  Post-secondary Goals with Prairie State College
                  -  FASFA Workshops

               In collaboration with the campus, participated in interviews for SSS campus secretary.

               Worked with theater districts to address any special education issues may be experiencing.
