The Study of Different Type of
Collision Sensor for Robotic Arm.

Abstract Robotic arm is a type of machine that have a similar application to a human part
which is it has a joint, arm and gripper. It also can be programmed into suitable task that have
been given and it able to perform various function just like a human do. Without a safety
precaution it causes danger to it consumer even can be fatal if not careful when handling the
robot arm. In this paper discuss about the different type of sensor to be use for collision
avoidance in robot arm which is suitable to use. For the software was developed and compiled
by Arduino IDE. Lastly applying the sensor to the actual robot arm to test it efficient.
Experimental result shows the ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04 is better choice than infrared sensor
due it can measure a detail distance of the measurement.
