MAD Club Mission
MAD Club is a community led response to the identified educational needs of young people in the
Ballybeg community, which will enable them to increase their educational opportunities and improve
their quality of life.
MAD Club Aims:
To work with young people and their parents/guardians along with liaising and cooperating with
school completion programmes, schools, and other agencies towards developing networks, which
will support young people’s attendance and retention in school. The goal is enabling young people
to achieve their full educational potential.
To provide equal opportunities for our young people towards identifying their needs, wants and
wishes through the provision of access to educational aids, informal and non-formal educational
strategies, and collaboration to respond to individual identified needs.
To value young people as young people and work with them in a non-judgemental, open manner.
For young people to have a positive sense of connection to self and others.
Assist in the development of young people’s physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.
To enable the voice of young people to be heard.
Develop, critique, and assist young people to develop and communicate their own beliefs and
view of the world.
