Please be aware that communication between parents/guardians, member and MAD Club staff is
vitally important.

If the young person is not able to attend, we require a WhatsApp message, text, phone call or e-mail
for operational reasons.
Please understand, if we do not hear from a parent/guardian or the young person and the MAD Club
member is absent on three occasions (per term) then we will be in a position to revoke your young
person’s membership as MAD Club runs on a three-way communication partnership model.

If the young person’s membership is revoked it will be given to someone on the waiting list.

You will then have to re-apply and you will be at the end of the waiting list.

Summary of Responsibilities for all involved

Please note that MAD CLUB operates under the guidelines of their internal General Code of
Behaviour. This can be found in reception and upon request can be emailed to the Parent/Guardian.
Furthermore, under our Youth Work and Excursion Provision contracts will be formed with the
participants that will act as an add on to this General Code of Behaviour.
For the purpose of this Handbook the following will be covered:

A. General Responsibilities of the MAD Club Member(s)
B. General Responsibilities of the Parent/Guardian of MAD Club service users
C. A Brief Notice on use of Technology when engaging with MAD Club
D. Risk management procedures for all involved:

A. MAD CLUB MEMBER/ Young Person Responsibilities:

1 Respect all involved (Adults; Young People; Yourselves)
2 Keep MAD CLUB and by extension BRiLL FRC litter free

3 Adhere to the general rules and code of behaviour when involved with MAD Club
4 Sign in when you arrive and Sign Out when you are leaving the premises for the evening.

5 Communicate any queries/ worries with an Adult member of Staff. We are there to
support.

6 Be responsible for being organised and bringing what you need for MAD Club and being on
time.

7 Participate in all aspects of MAD Club that you have signed up for.

8 Have FUN!! Take every opportunity as it comes! MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
