What comes to your mind when you think of “wanton
noodles”? For some, it might be an average noodle from
a hawker stall. However, if you were to ask me, I would
describe it as a traditional chinese dish that is a strong
part of chinese culinary heritage. Wanton noodles are a
staple dish in many Asian countries. While maintaining
its core identity, Wanton noodles has evolved and
adapted to regional tastes and preferences, showcasing
cultural influence and innovation.
It is a go-to dish for my family and me when we visit the
hawker centre. It is not only a simple, typical noodle but
a comfort meal, a sense of nostalgia.
18 SOI, a Thai-inspired cuisine restaurant, had one of
the most scrumptious, warm, and comforting wantan
noodles. My family and I visited the Anchorvale Village included char siu, a sweet and savoury cantonese-style
