Bits Of Bliss In Life

For breakfast, lunch, and dinner, you’ve got yourself
covered anytime and anywhere. Today, I decided to go
to a hawker centre to enjoy scrumptious and affordable
food. But I wanted to dive deeper. Hence, I went to a
nearby hawker centre - Whampoa Food Centre.

I ordered some of my personal favourites, such as
carrot cake and rojak. I also decided to take a leap of
faith by trying something new, such as a drink called
lime float and roti jala. I could not resist ordering some
chicken Satay, as the nutty aroma of the satay caught my
            attention.

While buying the food, I could not help but realise the
different aromas, the charred smell of hor fun, and
the nutty smell from the popiah. I also noticed the
hawkers calling out orders and chopping vegetables in a
somewhat rhythmic pattern. While looking around, I noticed that the hawker’s hands
were all wrinkled. Hawkers are our unsung heroes. We do

Next up, I tried the lime float. It was tangy and refreshing.
The following was something I had been wanting to try.
That was roti jala, it was savoury. Although the roti jala "Each bite of satay, carrot cake, and chendol

After I had finished my meal, I could not hold back and moments."
got myself a bowl of chendol. It was sweet and delightful,
just the perfect thing to end the fantastic night. I spent Elyssa Puah Jia Xin
the rest of the night soaking in the buoyant atmosphere. P6.1
