I smelled the delicious aroma of my favourite food—
chicken rice—as I stepped into the hawker centre. I went
to this hawker centre, named Kopitiam Square, with my
father.
The hawker centre was filled with elderly patrons and
many food stalls. My father and I had to walk around to
find a halal-certified stall, as there were many Chinese
stalls. When we finally found two halal stalls, we bought
our meals from them.
My family ordered from a kebab stall named Singapore’s
Muslim Food. The hawker at the stall sold cheesy kebab,
spicy kebab, barbeque kebab, and even chicken kebab.
I bought my food from a chicken rice stall called Fitra
Chicken Rice. After I had ordered a plate of roasted
chicken rice, the order was ready instantly! I could not
believe how quick the hawkers were!
