indoors even though I missed the physical touch with my friends. I knew that
it would pay off in the end, that if we all stayed indoors completely for some
time, it would be over soon. Months later, we’re still stuck inside. Now, I’m
not saying don’t completely close yourself off from the world. Quarantine is
important but staying active and healthy is also important. Going outside and
doing some workouts is great! The least you can do is social distance.
I think the most frustrating part is that we aren’t in control of everyone.
We basically count on each other and trust each other to do their role in the
community but we can’t physically restrict them to go outside. There should
be some sort of consequence when people go outside, not necessarily. Maybe a
fine or something, an extrinsic motivation that allows people to feel the need
to stay inside. The government is a whole other issue of addressing this pan-
demic. There are no laws of staying inside and Trump suggested drinking and
inject disinfectants like bleach to be rid of the virus. This caused a serious spur
throughout the nation and doctors and scientists had to advise people to not
do it. U.S. President Trump didn’t think people would take it seriously and even
said, “I was asking a question sarcastically to reporters like you just to see what
would happen.” Are you kidding me? Does he think this is a joke? Millions of
people are affected and dying because of the virus and our president wants to
make a sarcastic remark about it?
