is also a soccer field and tennis courts. In the winter the soccer field becomes
an ice skating rink. I would go with my Dad and my brother and we got pretty
good at skating. On Sunday Stuy Town had farmer’s markets. There is a space
called the “Oval” in the middle of Stuy town where you can walk around with
your friends. Before I came here I used to meet my friend in my apartment. Now
I have to meet her online. I feel happier when we are really together and not
just on a computer. She and I would go to the East River and feed the seagulls.
One time we went folk dancing with my mother and some other grownups. We
would sometimes play video games together too.

I used to go to the East River with my family, and sometimes we biked
there. I also liked Central Park. It has a fun zoo. It has a pretty lake.

I liked the Natural History Museum too.

I used to go swimming in Tompkins Square Park and Coney Island Beach.
Coney Island has three amusement parks, one of them is Kiddie, one of them
is Luna, and the other is called the Fun Zone. It smells like sugar and Cotton
Candy. I even went surfing for my birthday in Far Rockaway.

Out here in Irvington, we can’t do any of these things. But we can Zoom
        with friends.

I’m learning that in life you sometimes have to go through tough times.
I wish all this hadn’t happened, but I’m trying to make the best of it. I wonder
if I can go to the beach this summer or go on vacation. Some people my parents
know have died of Covid 19. I didn’t know them, but it makes me feel a little
scared. I am scared that my family will get it. The first thing I will do when I
get back to Stuy town is go for a swim. Maybe I’ll go to the pool in Tompkin’s
Square Park or maybe I’ll go to the indoor pool that my Mom went to. And after
I swim I’ll go for an ice cream.
