Susan founded Sam Design in 2011. Her business of
creating beauty and style named after her late father
Sam, has made quite a mark in the local world of
Interior Design in NL. With a background as an
Investment Advisor, Susan did a major career pivot
at age 40 returning to school full time to study
interior design, a personal passion of hers.
In 6 years, Susan has created a fast growing niche
market focused on making the interior design
process easy for her expanding residential and
commercial clientele. With a design driven
approach, Susan business combines professional
design services with a beautiful retail modern
showroom focused on some of Canada’s most
stylish furniture, lighting, tiles and accessories
brands including being the exclusive retail partner
for Fogo Island Inn Shop in NL.

Susan works tirelessly and always see things in a

positive light. She is passionate, energetic and loves

SAM Design Inc. President Organization (WPO), The Rotary Club of
St. John's Newfoundland and Labrador

Sperra Construction Group is a commercial general
contractor who’s head office is located in
Charlottetown, PEI. Sperra focuses on commercial
projects throughout Atlantic Canada, with plans to
expand nationally in the next 3-5 years. Connor
began his career working with Sperra’s sister
company- Blackhawk Custom Builders, as an
apprentice carpenter. Here he built a solid
foundation of knowledge of the construction
industry from labourer to site
superintendent. Connor's current role is a site
superintendent for Sperra. He also actively works
with Sperra’s president, Steven Jackson. Along
with other Sperra management level employees,
Connor Duffy Connor is helping to build Sperra into Canada’s
major general contractor through quality built
