**Any new installations must be in conformance with this standard and every home in compliance by April 16,
2029**

Rear Fence Design

(Gate to match fence design)

1. That rear fences shall be a 6' high, 1" x 6" side-by-side fence with 1" x 4" rails on top and bottom and 2"
x 6" wood cap rail that covers the posts along with optional 2” x 6” boards on open ends;
2. Fences must be in conformance with this standard upon repair and/or replacement;
3. That rear fences shall be constructed with the sections flat and level, and stepped to accommodate any
change in grade (the bottom of the fence may follow the grade or be stepped; the steps should not
exceed 12" at top or bottom);
4. That rear fence gate construction shall match the fence in material and detail or be solid board;
5. That the top of the gate shall be square and even with the top of the fence;
6. That rear fence gates shall not open to an adjacent townhouse property;
7. That rear fences and gates be left to weather naturally, finished with a clear colorless sealant or stained
Olympic "Oxford Brown" (opposite sides of a party fence may be finished differently, with the entire
cap board being one consistent finish); and
8. That submission of a DRB application is required for the installation of fences.
