Remembering

Ginny Atkinson

Ginny put the “honor” in being an honorary

member of New England Chow Chow Club;
she joined a handful of others to resurrect
the club back in the Sixties. She was totally
dedicated to protecting and promoting the

breed by her decades of holding many offices
in both NECCC, INC. and CCC, INC., helping
rescue dozens of Chows (out of her own
pocket) and serving on multiple Specialty

show committees, both regional and national.
Additionally, she served her CT all-breed club,
stewarding shows, organizing and attending
multiple “Meet the Breeds” functions and

helping where needed. While we all love Chow
Chows, one would rarely find such a kind
and selfless individual such as Ginny. May
her decades of suffering health problems [but

always “soldiering on”] be over, but the grand
memories of her remain. RIP, my friend
