b) Permanent
▪ MS/ MA degree holder or its equivalent in an
appropriate area of specialization authorized/recognized
by the University. The master’s degree must have been
obtained from an educational institution with accredited
program on the area of specialization
▪ Served CvSU as faculty member and/or achieved
eminence in the profession for at least three (3) years
▪ Physically fit to work as certified by the University
Medical Officer
▪ Recommended by the college/campus dean concerned
(for CvSU staff) to the Promotion and Selection Board
▪ Good moral character as certified by the immediate
supervisor of the previous employment (for non-CvSU
staff)
A. Specific Guidelines
▪ Filling up of Positions
Available plantilla positions shall be open to all qualified faculty
members with priority on: (1) doctorate holders who are most qualified
based on the vacated field of specialization; and (2) faculty members
who are automatically promoted upon completion of their graduate
studies.
All qualified applicants for available plantilla items shall be given
appropriate academic rank in accordance with the level achieved per
NBC 461 evaluation.
No items shall be made available to those who have not finished
their graduate degrees.
The lowest academic plantilla item to be awarded is at least,
Assistant Professor I for those who have completed their MS/MA
degrees. Exceptional cases are: equivalency of the degree earned to
graduates of the MS level as in the case of Veterinary Science; and the
none possibility of pursuing the graduate degree since this is not
available in the Philippines or that there is no educational institution
offering the required graduate degree program; and
Recommendations for renewal of temporary items shall be
forwarded to the Office of the President at least one month before the
end of the contract period.
The possible sources of vacancy of plantilla items are the
following: (1) existing unfilled-up vacant positions; (2) result of
collapsing existing vacant items; (3) created internally based on
