SERVICE AND MAINTENACE
SERVICE CHECKING
1. OBSERVE SERVICE INTERVALS
Using the hour meter as a guide, perform all recommended services at hourly intervals indicated
on the following pages. You should keep a service record.
Use the correct fuels and lubricants.
2. DISPOSE THE WASTE PROPERLY
Use leakproof containers when draining hazardous fluids. Do not use food or beverage containers
that may mislead someone into drinking from them.
DO NOT pour waste onto the ground, down a drain, or into any water source.
3. AVOID HIGH-PRESSURE FLUIDS
Escaping fluid under pressure can penetrate the skin and cause serious injury.
Relieve pressure before disconnecting hydraulic or other lines. Tighten all connections before
applying pressure.
IF AN ACCIDENT OCCURS, SEE A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY. Any fluid injected into the skin must be
surgically removed within a few hours or gangrene may result.
4. SHUT THE ENGINE OFF
ALWAYS shut the engine OFF before attempting any repairs or working on any moving parts on or
inside the machine, including any part of the hydraulic system.
NEVER work on any part of the hydraulic system or the engine when the machine is hot.
5. TURN THE ENGINE STOP SWITCH OFF
ALWAYS turn the Engine Stop Switch, and the Ignition Switch OFF when working on the electrical
system.
6. USE PROPER TOOLS
ALWAYS service your screed with the proper tools and be particularly careful when changing
precision components.
