SPECIAL CONGREGATIONAL MEETING MINUTES
September 20, 2020

CALL TO ORDER (Andy Meyer, Moderator):
• Andy Meyer called the Special Congregational Meeting to order at about 11:15 a.m.

OPENING PRAYER (Pastor John Hudson):
• Pastor John Hudson led us in prayer.

SPECIAL THANKS: (Peg Robinson):
• Peg Robinson expressed thanks to everyone – Pastor John, our staff and all of the committees
and individuals – who have worked so hard during these past few months as we have dealt
with the COVID-19 pandemic to maintain the programs and outreach opportunities of the
church to keep us as strong as possible, perhaps even strengthening us further for the future.

NEW BUSINESS (Andy Meyer, Moderator):
• The purpose of this meeting is to decide whether to approve a By-Law change to allow for
Virtual Special or Annual Church Meetings. The change would be added to the By-Laws:
Article V, Governing Body: it would be item #4 and read as follows: In the event of
extraordinary circumstances or a national or state emergency, Parish Board is
empowered to call for a virtual Annual or Special Church Meeting, to allow members to
participate and vote electronically, through the use of videoconferencing, phone, email
and other means available.

Motion: A motion was made to amend the By-Laws as proposed.
It was seconded.
Vote: The motion passed unanimously.

MEETING ADJOURNMENT (Andy Meyer):

Motion: A motion was made to adjourn the Special Meeting of the Congregation.
It was seconded.
Vote: The motion passed unanimously.

• The meeting was adjourned at about 11:20 a.m.
