his integrity, although thou movedst me

against him, to destroy him without

cause.” And then Satan answered in verse 4

and said, “Skin for skin, yea, all that a man

hath will he give for his life.” In other words,

Satan is saying to God, “Job is a hypocrite.

He's only serving you to get what he wants

and to have good health and have all these

finances.” So God uses Job in this passage

to make a fool and a liar out of Satan. The

physical infirmities that came on Job did not

come on him because he was living in sin.

Now, there are many preachers who will

say, “Well, Job had to be taught some

lessons.” We all have to be taught lessons.
