ready to get right with God, God will save

them. But a person cannot just call on God

for salvation whenever he or she feels like

it. God saves souls on His timetable, not

ours, and unless a person responds to the

voice of God when God calls a person to

repentance by the convicting work of the

Holy Spirit, it will be impossible for that

person to be saved — even on a person’s

deathbed.

In Genesis 6:3 God said, “My spirit shall not

always strive with man.” It’s very possible

that the day may come when God will no

longer draw a person to salvation in Christ if

that person continues to resist the

convicting work of the Holy Spirit.
