and activities. James 4:4 says that whosoever
will be a friend of the world is the enemy of
God.
While a regenerated child of God may at
times succumb to the ungodly and carnal
desires and temptations of the world, the
flesh, and the devil, the practice of sin will
not be a dominant characteristic or a way
of life for a child of God. Romans 6 tells us
that believers are no longer to be servants
of sin but servants of righteousness unto
holiness, and 1 John 3:9 says, “Whosoever is
born of God doth not commit sin; for his
seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin,
because he is born of God.”
