Only A Sinner Saved By Grace???
who has become a “new creature” in Christ
as a “sinner” is not a truism and is not biblical
because it implies that Christians evidence no
godly change in their lives but that they
continue to look, talk, and live like sinful
people after they are converted. Although
spiritually born-again Christians may at times
yield to the sinful temptations of the world,
the flesh, and the devil, sin will deeply grieve
the heart of a true Christian, and he or she
will no longer find pleasure in sin.
CHANGED INTO THE LIKENESS OF CHRIST
If a person’s salvation is genuine, God, by His
indwelling Holy Spirit, will begin the process
of changing that person into the likeness of
Christ, and those Christlike changes will be
noticeably distinct from the lifestyle and
