land was polluted with blood. Thus were

they defiled with their own works, and

went a whoring with their own

inventions. Therefore was the wrath of

the LORD kindled against his people,

insomuch that he abhorred his own

inheritance.” We find that when the children

of Israel went into the land, they did not

obey God, and we find that God had to

bring His judgment upon them because

they began imitating the heathen and the

pagan in the land.
