Acts and see that this literally happened in

their ministry as they were going through the

cities of Jerusalem and Judah.

Now, notice verse 22. Jesus said, “And ye

shall be hated of all men for my name's sake:

but he that endureth to the end shall be

saved.” So they would be hated. And not only

would they be hated by all men, but verse 21

says, “And the brother shall deliver up the

brother to death, and the father the child: and

the children shall rise up against their parents,

and cause them to be put to death.” So the

hatred extends far out to all men and also

among relatives, friends, and even down to the

immediate family. As we read in verse 35 a

moment ago, Jesus said, “For I am come to set

a man at variance against his father, and the
