This thing really gets very silly in these

circles. There's one Baptist preacher who

has a black list of those who preach

repentance and faith for salvation, and one

of the preachers he has on that list is David

Cloud. Now, David Cloud preaches salvation

correctly, but this preacher calls him a heretic

and says he's preaching a false gospel

because he preaches repentance and faith

for salvation. Well, I guess if he knew me,

I'd be on that list, as well, because I believe

the same thing. And repentance is not a

work. They say that repentance is a work.

I'll give you an example. Charles Ryrie was a

teacher at Dallas Theological Seminary, and

in 1969 he wrote a book titled Balancing the
