I heard one preacher say, “Well, the word

‘repent’ is not in the book of John, only

‘believe.’” Well, that's like saying the word

“God” is not in the book of Esther. But the

word “God” is in every other book in the

Bible, so that doesn't mean that God is not

in the book of Esther. Just because the book

of John does not use the word “repent” — I

mean, what are you going to do with

Matthew, Mark, Luke, and the books of Acts,

Romans, Corinthians, 2 Peter, and the book

of Revelation? I mean, that is a very foolish

statement that came from a Baptist preacher.
