personal way apart from hearing and

believing God’s Word, specifically

understanding and believing the purpose for

Christ’s death on the cross. A right

relationship with our Creator begins when we

are regenerated by the Holy Spirit by

exercising personal faith in Christ’s sacrifice

on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins,

that penalty being eternal separation from

God and torment in Hell. God originally

created Hell for the devil and his angels

(demons) (Matt. 25:41), but multitudes of

human beings will also spend eternity in Hell

because of their rejection of Christ as their

Savior and their only hope for forgiveness of

sins.

Being spiritually born into God’s family is only

the beginning of what God wants to do in a

person’s life. Philippians 1:6 tells believers
