be so distinct from the unregenerate that

their lives can be compared to a light that

shines in darkness. The witness in this world

of a born-again child of God is how our

Father in Heaven is honored and glorified on

earth — and our God is worthy of such

honor. Revelation 4:11 says, “Thou art

worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour

and power: for thou hast created all things,

and for thy pleasure they are and were

created.”

Psalm 3

Psalm 3 was written during the time in

David’s life when he had to flee from his own

son Absalom because his son was seeking to

kill David and turn the hearts of the people

against him. David felt very alone at this time

in his life but was encouraged when he
