When we face our “battles” in life, our

greatest weapon against our enemies is

prayer for God’s protection. Romans 12:19

says, “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves,

but rather give place unto wrath: for it is

written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay,

saith the Lord.” Also Romans 8:31 tells us

that “If God be for us, who can be against

us?”

As David reflected on God’s help and

deliverance in the past, his faith and

confidence in God’s help in his present

circumstance was strengthened. God often

allows difficult circumstances in our lives

that cannot be resolved by any human

effort, and when God intervenes in these

circumstances, our faith and confidence in

God and His Word is strengthened and we

become more and more at peace and
