(Psalm 9)

One cannot help but enter into David’s

rejoicing in Psalm 9. His heart was

overflowing with praise and thanksgiving to

God for both past victories and also victories

that he yet expected in the future. And

David looked forward to the ultimate and

final victory when the heathen would be

judged and removed forever from the face

of the earth.

David had a desire to show forth the

marvelous works of God so that others

would know his God and put their trust in

Him (v. 10). Our zeal for God — and

especially our thankfulness for our

salvation — will have an impact on those
