youth and children’s programs (as if

children don’t get enough amusement

and entertainment in other places).

This reveals an incredible obsession

with entertainment that is rampant in

our day and age. Referring to the

perilous times that will ensue in the

last days, 2 Timothy 3:4 aptly

describes this “have fun” generation as

“lovers of pleasures more than lovers

of God.”

Let me make it clear at the outset that

I'm not against children having fun at

church as long as the fun activities do

not disrespect, denigrate, demean, or

misrepresent the holy character of God
