A House of Prayer
Jesus said in Matthew 21:13, “It is
written, My house shall be called the
house of prayer; but ye have made it a
den of thieves.” Would the Lord drive
out with a whip today some of the
activities and merchandising that go
on in church sanctuaries and on
church property? Would He say to us
today, “Take these things hence; make
not my Father's house an house of
merchandise” (Jn. 2:16)? Or maybe He
would say, “Take these things hence;
make not my Father’s house an
house of fun and entertainment.”
