And God doesn’t need elaborate and

costly Broadway-style stage productions

in order to draw a person to salvation

in Christ. In fact, I believe that God

withdraws His presence from church

activities and programs that do not

honor Him or where attendance is

solicited by the use of carnal enticements

and worldly techniques, and if God’s

Holy Spirit is not at work in an

assembly, there can be no genuine

conversion nor growth in godliness no

matter how elaborate the production or

how humanly persuasive a pastor’s

invitation may be. Is it any wonder

that many children who grow up in

these kinds of entertainment-based
