entertainment and having fun should

not be the criteria for choosing or

attending a church.

Involvement in church should be God-

centered, not self-centered, and the

primary incentive and motivation for

attending church should be to

“worship the LORD in the beauty of

holiness” (Ps. 29:2) and to learn of Him

through the preaching and teaching of

God’s Word, and both children and

adults should be “programmed” to

attend church simply for those reasons

alone. Having fun at church should be

incidental, not essential.
