confront super villains in the magazines, in the
movies, and so forth. And superheroes have
extraordinary powers and strength and skills.
Some of them can fly. Some of them have
enhanced senses. Some of them can leap
buildings, and there are many other things that
they can do. All of them have some type of
ability beyond the average human being.
THE HISTORY OF SUPERHEROES
The first thing that we're going to look at
this evening is the history of superheroes.
Superheroes have been around in America over
80 years. They've been around since the 1930s.
The debut of Superman was in 1938, and
Wonder Woman was in an All Star Comics #8 in
January 1942. Spider-Man made his debut in
the 1960s in comic books. The Incredible Hulk
