I met with opposition, and much of that

opposition came from influential people in

the church. As I've continued to study God's

Word and pray for a better understanding

of how a person becomes a Christian, I've

come to the conclusion that a very

necessary heart condition is missing in

many of those who profess to be Christians

‒ contrition and repentance!

Being that I was still a fairly new Christian

and involvement in church life was a new

experience for me, I began to try to suppress

my convictions and "go with the flow" of

church life, believing that it must be MY

problem and not the church. I became
