caused a setback in my Christian life,
especially in my involvement in church life.
Our children were in high school at that
time, and I must say that I felt betrayed and
I had a lot of anger and animosity toward
the pastor because of his uncaring and
self-gratifying decision to indulge his carnal
desires with no concern for the damage his
sinful behavior would do to the name of
Christ and to those who belong to Christ.
Christians have the power of God living
within them to resist evil (1 John 4:4; 1 Cor.
10:13), and we have no excuse for
succumbing to sinful temptations. My
husband, who at that time was not in a right
