who cling to their sins and want to excuse

them.

The apostle John said in 1 John 3:13,

“Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate

you.” Christians who identify with Christ and

desire to live righteously will not be loved or

embraced by an ungodly world and

ungodly people. Sadly, though, many

professing Christians (especially American

Christians) know nothing about suffering

for Christ and for righteousness’ sake

because their language and topics of

interest or their behavior, outward

appearance, and/or entertainment choices

are no different from those who do not
