David  compares  himself  to  “men  of  the


               world”  who  have  their  portion  in  this  life


               only but have no future eternal hope, and in


               verse 15 David expresses his confidence that


               he  would  see  God  one  day,  and  that


               assurance  of  his  salvation  gave  fulfillment


               and satisfaction to his life.  Do you have the


               assurance that you, too, will behold the face


               of God in Heaven one day?





                                                   Psalm 18





               Psalm 18 is the words of a song that David

               spoke to the LORD when the LORD delivered


               him from all his enemies and from the hand


               of King Saul. The first words out of David’s


               mouth are, “I will love thee, O LORD, my

               strength.”  Those of us who have experienced


               those kinds of answers to prayer can relate to
