It’s hard to imagine that a person could

profess to be a Christian and yet not love the

Lord Jesus Christ. Love for our Father in

Heaven and love for His Son, the Lord Jesus

Christ, is key evidence that a person has

been born again by the Holy Spirit. Hebrews

2:3 asks the question, “How shall we escape,

if we neglect so great salvation?” God

expects us to love His Son because He bore

the penalty for our sins, and in 1 Corinthians

16:22, God pronounces a curse on those who
