some physical manifestations of God’s


               intervention  in  David’s  battle  against  his


               enemies, but David had no doubt that God


               had answered his prayers and intervened in


               a miraculous way.  Although Jesus discourages


               us  from  seeking  after  signs  (Matt.  12:39;


               Matt.  16:4),  sometimes  God  answers  our


               prayers in physically unexplainable ways in

               order  to  strengthen  our  faith  and  to  be


               acknowledged  and  glorified  through


               impossible circumstances that He allows in


               our  lives.  David  had  no  doubt  that  “The


               LORD liveth,” and he exalted the God of his


               salvation (v. 46).




               In verse 4, David refers to his many enemies


               as  “floods  of  ungodly  men.”  God’s  people


               have always been a minority in this world,


               and sometimes we can feel overwhelmed by


               the multitudes that “know not God, and that
