“Churchy”
But Not Godly
One of the most grievous phenomena that
is happening in the present-day church is a
representation of Christianity that does not
require repentance and a turning from
personal sin. Many (if not most) of those
who are involved in church life are
promoting a type of Christianity that
equates church attendance and involvement
in church activities and church programs
(even missionary endeavors) with spirituality
and “living the Christian life,” and nothing
more is expected of these church attendees
as far as growing spiritually into the likeness
of Christ. This representation of the Christian
life is sometimes referred to as “churchianity”
