13y MC Bassett Hound with progressively worsening cough of at least 6 months’ duration. There is an ill‐defined pulmonary mass in the
right caudal thorax, which compresses the right mainstem bronchus and displaces the cardiac silhouette to the left (a). At the periphery
of the mass, there is a mixed pulmonary pattern involving the entire right lung that includes bronchial, interstitial, and alveolar compo-
nents. Images b–d are representative CT images ordered from cranial to caudal. Image e is a 7 mm collimated magnified view of the
right caudal and accessory lobes. The presence of a right caudal lobe mass is confirmed on CT images (b–e). Large airways within the
mass are preserved, although smaller airways are either compressed or displaced (c,d). There is extension of the mass into the right
cranial, middle, and accessory lobes from peribronchial migration, best illustrated in image e. Fine‐needle aspiration biopsy confirmed a
diagnosis of pulmonary adenocarcinoma.
