"Along with the economic recovery, we can see there was a decrease in August 2021 as
compared to August 2020, with the percentage of our informal workers falling, from 60.47
percent to 59.45 percent," she noted.
The open unemployment rate also slid, from 7.07 percent in August 2020 to 6.49 percent as of
August 2021.
On the other hand, Fauziyah also noted that workers, with junior high school education and
below, still constituted the majority of the working population, covering 55.45 percent in August
2021.
Meanwhile, workers, with high school and vocational education, reached 31.73 percent, and
those with diploma and university degree, at 12.82 percent, she noted.
