This sinnet is very easy to
make. Begin with an
overhand bend made with all
four strands (1). Figures 2
and 3 show the preparation
for the basic crowning shown
in figure 4. Working always in
one direction (in this case
clockwise). insert each strand
in the turn formed by the
subsequent strand. This
produces a closed shape
which is the basis of the
crown sinnet. Figure 5 shows
the knot being tightened and
demonstrates how a
cylindrical object could be
inserted as described above.
Finally. figure 6 shows the
finished sinnet and how
decorative it is. It can be
finished off by tucking the
four strands into the center.
