FIGURE-EIGHT
CHAIN
The figure-eight knot
(see pp. 31-35) finds
yet another of its many
uses in this pretty chain.
It can be used as a belt
or strap for a shoulder
bag. or for shortening
and decorating any
cord that is going to be
on view.
The method is very
simple and clearly
shown in the
illustrations: simply
make a series of figure-
eight knots all in the
same direction. Be sure
to tighten them well to
avoid any unwanted
sagging when the chain
is under strain.
