ANGLER'S
        LOOP

       This knot is suitable for
       fishing line, string, or
       fine synthetic line and is
       used by fishermen to
join the body of the line
to the tip of the rod. It is
       also used by campers
       for hanging objects. as
it does not slide and is
       very strong. It has the
       disadvantage of being
difficult to untie. so it is
       not used at sea. The
       angler's loop made in
       small- and medium-
       diameter rope is rather
       bulky, but it is an
       interesting knot
       because of the ease
       with which it can be
       tied and its usefulness
       for some purposes.
