ANGLER'S
LOOP
This knot is suitable for
fishing line, string, or
fine synthetic line and is
used by fishermen to
join the body of the line
to the tip of the rod. It is
also used by campers
for hanging objects. as
it does not slide and is
very strong. It has the
disadvantage of being
difficult to untie. so it is
not used at sea. The
angler's loop made in
small- and medium-
diameter rope is rather
bulky, but it is an
interesting knot
because of the ease
with which it can be
tied and its usefulness
for some purposes.
