over Nicholson Road completed. A pleasant surprise was the link between Armadale Road
and North Lake Road over the freeway, cutting out all the lights and corners of that area.
An easy ride down South Street into Freo and the Wharf area around 12pm. Plenty of bike
parking for us and although busy, quick service at Kallis Brothers and for me, a nice serve of
fish and chips for lunch.

Lancelin Ride 9 January
What is going on? Have I got the wrong day? Are the Wednesday riders meeting at Beldon
now?
These are the questions that went through my mind as I pulled up to see fifteen, yes, fifteen
bikes gathered for a Sunday ride. Even Jim Carr was there to make it two in a row! Was it the
near perfect day for a ride or was it Lancelin sounded like a great place to ride too. The answer
was never discovered but Darryl and Alistair remembered to take photos, something I forget to
do, so we have lots of content to fill a couple of pages leaving me free from writing a boring
item about a fantastic ride through the Chittering Valley to the Bindoon Bakehaus, where we
had good service, good food and great conversation.
The ride via Mogumber and Regans Ford to Lancelin was just as good, allowing the bikes to
open up a bit, arriving at 12 noon for lunch at the busy Endeavour Pub overlooking the Indian
Ocean.
A blast back home down the Indian Ocean Drive capped of a very enjoyable Sunday ride with
good company, reminiscent of the before times.
