“Katey, my sister, I’ve been thinking about you. I saw
on the news earlier today that more States got approved for
prayer to stay in their schools. God is still on the move.”
“You can say that again,” Katey said. “Are you busy this
weekend?” she asked.
“Just a little recording, not too much.”
“I was wondering if you could throw a mini-concert here
at the university?”
“I would love to. I will make it free, so I don’t have to get
my management involved.”
“Perfect. How fast can you get flyers here?”
“I can overnight, say 2000.”
“Perfect. I’ll text you the address, and my room number,”
Katey said.
“Perfect. What time should I set it for?” “Let’s say at 7
pm.”
“7 p.m. is perfect,” Agape said. “Thanks.”
“You bet,” Agape said.
Katey hung up her phone to give Zion a call when her
phone rang. “I was just getting ready to call you,” she said,
surprisingly.
“Well, I beat you to it,” Zion said. “How are you doing,
sweetie?”
“I’m doing wonderful,” Katey replied. |And yourself?”
“I’m adjusting here at Florida State. Sorry, it took me so
long to call you,” Zion said.
Zion’s mind could not help but think about the first time
he met Katey, and when he fell in love with her. When she
looked at him during their first date, it was as if every ounce
of breath was taken from his lungs floating into the air like
midnight smoke. Every time they kissed, it felt like the world
stopped, leaving just the two of them to wander the earth
together. This is what falling in love was like, a story he never
