NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK
Our college celebrated the National Library Week from
14th to 20th November, 2022. Since 1968, 14th to 20th
November is being celebrated as the National Library Week
all over India and various programs are held to enhance
public awareness about libraries. The celebrations can be
traced to a practice initiated by Shri I. V. Ramayya,
recognized as the "Architect of Public Library Movement in
India". Keeping in tune with this tradition, our college library
Department celebrated the National Library week, organized a Book Exhibition and conducted literary
events like Essay writing, Elocution and Book Reading Competition. Students from across various
disciplines participated with zeal and enthusiasm. The program ended with the valedictory function.
VISIT TO KBN COLLEGE
The Govt. Of AP with a focus on enhancement of
employment opportunities for students pursuing
undergraduate education had integrated mandatory
Community Service Project (CSP) and Internship /
Apprenticeships in their curriculum framed by the APSCHE.
This is aimed at rolling out students with holistic
development, by learning new skills, new ideas, and gain
firsthand experience, which will also make them more
competitive.
In tune with this thought, our college Principal, Dr. S. Madhavi, visited KBN college Vijayawada,
to sought permission to associate our III B.Sc (MPCS & MPWET) – 54 students with their college for
pursuing their internship (for 3 months) in TCS and also for utilization of infrastructure and hostel
facilities.
JANAJATIYA GAURAV DIWAS
The Government of India has declared 15th
November, i.e., the Birth Anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa
Munda, as 'Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas' every year. In line
with this thought, our college Department of History
celebrated this day on 15 November 2022. Captain R.
Venkaiah, the HOD, History, have explained the life
history of Bhagwan Birsa Munda of Jharkand state and
also Komaram Bheem great leaders of the Tribals
community of Telangana State, how they fought for the
rights of the tribals, fought against the British, land
lords, against the British forest policies (1865 Act &
1878 Act).

22 November 2022 for girls on self defence. The

on Self Defence for girls, addressing the girl
students said, Self-defence involves defending
the health and well-being of oneself from harm.
Self-defence training is a life skill that helps girls
to be more aware of their surroundings and be
prepared for the unexpected at any time.
Through the self defence training, the girls are
taught to become psychologically, intellectually
and physically strong enough to protect
themselves in times of distress. Self defence
training techniques in stills self confidence
amongst girls and helps to promote girls
education. He also explained the benefits of
