Just next to the Dakshineswar Kali Temple is Vivekananda Setu (popularly known as Bally
Bridge) which was commissioned in 1930. 50 meters downstream is 2007 new bridge called
Nivedita Setu was constructed to ease the traffic load of Vivekananda Setu.

One cannot imagine Kolkata without these sculptures of religious idols, mostly of Goddess Kali,
notwithstanding the Puja season is over.
