The Howrah railway station is the oldest and largest railway complex in India. It is also one of
the busiest train stations in the world. The present red coloured building of the Howrah Railway
station was opened in 1905.
Kabiguru Rabindranath Tagore's Samadhi Memorial. The famous Bengali poet, poet, writer,
composer, philosopher, painter and Nobel laureate was cremated at Nimtala Crematorium in
1941. Adjoining this crematorium, his Samadhi was created.
