Howrah Bridge, renamed Rabindra Setu, is the busiest cantilever bridge in the world. Howrah
Bridge was commissioned in 1943 with almost all of its steel being supplied by Tata Steel. The
close up picture of the bridge is indicative of extensive steel usage with riveting to provide this
phenomenal tensile strength.
